It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear colleague and friend Barbora (Bara) Buhnova, Vice-Chair and Grant Awarding Coordinator of EUGAIN network, a role model and passionate advocate for gender balance in Informatics.
Bara was an extraordinary leader who combined vision with empathy, shaping EUGAIN with a rare blend of strength and compassion. Her contributions to our COST Action, EUGAIN, and Informatics education and research at large profoundly impacted all who had the privilege to work with her. Her commitment to gender equity in computer science inspired and empowered countless women, leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to guide us.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
