EUGAIN lives on through IE’s Diversity & Inclusion Working Group

The project may have come to a close but Informatics Europe (IE), through the Informatics Europe Diversity & Inclusion Working Group, led by Prof. Simona Motogna, will continue promoting the value of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I).

Prof. Simona Motogna co-chaired the workshop on “Cultivating Diversity: Integrating Inclusiveness into Informatics Education” at the European Informatics Leaders Summit 2024 (Malta) where she presented EUGAIN’s results and outcomes.

EUGAIN – European Network For Gender Balance in Informatics. Women are underrepresented in Informatics (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computing, ICT) at all levels, from undergraduate and graduate studies to participation and leadership in academia and industry. Increasing female representation in the field is a grand challenge for academics, policymakers, and society as a whole.
